The Apple Castle
The Apple Castle is a family-owned orchard and market, located in the heart of Western Pennsylvania's Amish Country. They have been growing quality fruit since 1861. Any trip to New Wilmington must include a visit to this special place.
LIVE New Wilmington
LIVE New Wilmington is a local initiative celebrating the Arts, Education, the Environment, and our Community. This initiative sponsors numerous activities including:
- Fresh Marketplace at New Wilmington Center - Operates from early May through mid-September on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. The Fresh Marketplace welcomes 35 or more local farmer and artist vendors. Local musicians perform at the free "Morning Concert" and freshly prepared breakfast and lunch entrees are offered at the Fresh Marketplace Grill.
- The Tour de Donut - A scenic bike ride on lightly to moderately traveled roads in Lawrence County and is held on a Saturday each June. The event attracts many cyclists from around Pennsylvania and neighboring States.
- The New Wilmington Amphitheater - Located in the borough park and hosts musicians from various genres on Saturday evenings from early June through mid-September. A full schedule of events can be found at LIVE New Wilmington.

McConnells Mill State Park
Located just 15 miles from the inn, McConnells Mill State Park in Lawrence County spans 2,546 acres. It features the breathtaking Slippery Rock Creek Gorge, a designated National Natural Landmark. This rugged gorge boasts steep walls and a valley floor scattered with massive boulders. The park welcomes visitors daily from dawn to dusk throughout the year.
